| Civil War Weekend - March 27 - 28 , 2004 Located in Putnam County, WV - This was a "Border Area" during the American Civil War. This meant brothers fought brothers, fathers fought against their sons. Day one of the reenactment recreates the "Blue & Gray Skirmish at Hurricane Bridge" - March 28, 1863. The Union leader was Captain Johnson of Company A - His Confederate counterpart was General Albert G. Jenkins commanding a Calvary brigade. The actual fighting lasted 5 hours. |
